There might be some information missing here...not sure if you have a visual to accompany the triangle, and not sure what the unit measurement is. Also not sure how the triangle is labeled. But here are some possible solutions:
If the triangle is labeled counterclockwise with A at the top, B on the left lower corner and C on the right lower corner, then it is possible that vertex A will be mapped onto vertex C.
If the triangle is labeled counterclockwise with A at the top, C on the left lower corner and B on the right lower corner, then it is possible that vertex A will be mapped onto vertex B.
If the triangle is labeled in any other configuration, then when the triangle is translated, vertex A would not be mapped onto any vertex of the preimage, because it would be far below any of the preimage vertices.
