I need to know the height of a partial pyramid.

Partial pyramid meaning that it doesn't have a point at the top; it's flat on top.

The base of said pyramid is 40" x 36", and the top needs to be 14" x 6" (front and back being 40" at bottom and 14" at top).  What is the height of said partial pyramid?

A "partial pyramid" is called a frustum.
Without additional information such as slant height, angle of sides, etc. a multiple possible solutions exist.
