Physics Teaching is my EXPERTISE with assured improvement
This is the principle of transformer
1 When the switch of primary is just closed a current of short duration flows in the secondary
2.When switch remains closed no current in secondary
3.When switch is opened a current in secondary flows in opposite direction , if compared to previous current
4.When switch is kept open then no current as no mutual induction occurs ( Magnetic flux must change for induced current)
