Nice job, Arturo!

There seems to be a lot of ingratitude out there this Xmas season--I can see no justification for downvoting your answer.

Kenneth,

We really do not know if it was the student or another tutor who cast the down vote.  Any tutor who opens up the problem can vote.  I have exchanged notes with other tutors who were wrongly down voted.  I proposed to WyzAnt that a tutor's down vote not get recorded unless he/she either posts a comment explaining why the solution is wrong, or posts his/her own, DIFFERENT solution.  I think it is also reasonable that if the student casts a down vote, that it not get recorded unless he/she first requests further explanation or clearly states a doubt about the solution.  Perhaps several of us should express to WyzAnt our concerns, and maybe we can reform the voting process.  (And of course, from time to time, we all make some mistakes, which we should correct.  They should be pointed out in a cordial, respectful, and professional manner.)  Thank you for your comment, and keep up the good work.  Are you headed back to Arizona soon?

I agree.  The answer was perfectly correct and understandable.  People are just ungrateful.

I agree, and submitted this suggestion:
Either remove the down vote option, or require that it be coupled with an explanation.

When I see obvious misuse (as here), I add an up vote.
Happy Holidays.

I agree.  For a down vote to be recorded, there should be either an explanation or an alternative solution posted.
