I need help graphing y=2x^(2)+8x-2

y = 2x² + 8x - 2

 

To graph a quadratic equation, you need to find:

1. the location of the vertex and line of symmetry  (Vertex = (-2, -10), LOS is x = -2)
2. Whether the graph open up or down (this one opens upwards)
3. The y-intercept (for this one it's (0, -2))
4. the x-intercepts (there may be 0, 1, or 2 real intercepts) (x = -2±√6)
