You have to compare the H(t) and g(t) values to see where they would intersect in the range.

 

There is no intersection between 1 second and 2 seconds.

 

There is intersection between 2 seconds and 3 seconds.

 

There is no intersection between 3 seconds and 4 seconds.

 

 

H(t) = g(t)      between  2 seconds and 3 seconds
