This is a mathematical induction problem for PreCalc I'm having trouble with

prove n*2^n-1 = 1+(n-1)2^n

n(2^(n-1)) = 1 + (n+1)(2^n)

1st step is the basic step

n=1

1(2^0) = 1

1 +(1+1)(2^1) = 1 +2 =3

it's not true, so you can't prove it true by math induction or any method
