A projectile travels above level ground. The initial vertical component of its velocity is 0.90 m/s and then initial horizontal component of its velocity is 0.60 m/s. Calculate the time the project him remains in the air. and calculate the horizontal distance the projectile travels. show your work please

Given Vertical component = 0.9 m/s = V sin Φ

Where Φ is angle of projection with horizontal

Horizontal component = 0.6 m/s = V cos Φ

 

time of flight = 2 Vsin Φ / g  = 2x0.9/ 9.8 = 0.18 m/s 

 

and 

Horizontal Range

 

 =2 VcosΦ x V sin Φ/g  = 2x 0.6 x 0.9/9.8  = 0.11 m
