This is a permutation without replacement (the 10 people can line up in every spot on the line but cannot be in two different spots at the same time). In other words, the number of possibilities for each spot on the line...
10 * 9 * 8 ... * 2 * 1
Each spot has 1 less possibility than the one before it. So you can find the permutations of 10 people lining up simply with 10! = 3,628,800.
