An electric wheelchair encounters a resistance force of 302 Newtons. The motor for this wheelchair can output mechanical energy with a power of, at most, 1398 Watts. What is the maximum speed with which it can travel?

max power = force x max speed

 

P = Fv

 

v = P/F = (1398 W) / (302 N) = 4.629 m/s
