A logarithm is an exponent. Since b is the base, this can be rewritten as:
logba = 5x (when the base b is raised to the power 5x , the value a is generated)
Note that in previous answer ln a / ln b does not equal ln (a-b). Likely being confused with ln (a/b) = ln a - ln b.
