What does it mean to be a global ciizen?

This is an open question which is no right or wrong. I want a stand out ideas for my presentation cause this is a competition, I really really want a clue or help.

Dear Risa, 

 

A global citizen is one who appreciates, values, and endeavors to live their life fully aware of the richness of the interconnections between people and the systems of the world.

 

These interconnections are facilitated by technology and the Internet.

 

The systems of the world include social systems (i.e. GLBT, marriage laws, demographics, immigration policy), economic (i.e. banks, credit unions, car loans, student loans), political (i.e. voter registration, election years, campaign language),  and entertainment (music, videos, social media, concerts, fashion, the arts). 

 

Such an individual understands how their actions, even though locally based, have the potential to reach and affect others in places as close as their own city or state and as geographically distant as an international destination.
