If instead you meant y/1 ÷ 5, it would be y/5, since y/1 = y.

Awkwardly stated!  do you mean y ÷ (1/5) ?

 

If so, the answer is 5y.  (To divide by a fraction, mulitply by the reciprocal of the dividing fraction.)
