asked 11/02/16Find the ratio of output values that correspond to increases of 1 in the input value in order to determine the 1-unit growth factor. f ( x ) = 22.05 ( 4.91 )

Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
(x,y) = (4.91, 22.05)
f(x) = x+17.14
y = x+ 17.14
as x increases by 1, y increases by 1
x= input, y=output
graphically it's a straight upward sloping line, with slope = 1
a 45 degree angle with the x axis
but the ratio of output to input approaches 1 as a limit as input and output increase endlessly
