Area = Height * Width          [or, length*width]

11 11/16 = H*(2 3/4)

187/16 = H*(11/4)              [convert mixed numbers to improper fractions]

(187/16)*(4/11) = H*(11/4)*(4/11)              [multiply both sides by (4/11)]

   17/4 = H                                   [cancel and reduce]

   H = 4 1/4 feet
