In PLAN VIEW, most door shapes are rectangles, i.e. they have a rectangular facade. Of course there are some doors that have other shapes, e.g. a semicircle at the top of a rectangle.
If your statement claims that a rectangular door is not a rectangle because it's actually a 3 dimensional object, that's true--a rectangular solid called a rectangular parallelepiped.
