asked 10/06/16Simplifying Formula1
I am stuck how to get from one stage of a formula to the next.
= m1g −m1/m2T + µkm1g
to
((m1+m2)/m2)T = gm1(1+ µk)
Not sure how to get to this step. If someone could explain in detail would be appreciated

I am making an assumption that the whole equation to begin with is
T = m1g −m1/m2T + µkm1g
Add m1/m2T to both sides of this equation: T + m1/m2T = m1g + µkm1g
(1 + m1/m2)T = m1g(1 + µk)
((m1 + m2)/m2)T = m1g(1 + µk)

Hi thanks, yes your assumption was correct and thank you very much. I understand now. Always fail to spot things like this.
