The sum of three numbers is 127 . The second number is 7 more than the first. The third number is 3 times the first. What are the numbers?

suppose first number is x

         so second number would be x+7

             Third number would be 3x

Sum of 3 numbers = x+x+7+3x=127

                               5x+7 = 127

                                   5x=120

                                    x= 120/5=24

first number = 24

second number = 24+7= 31

Third number = 3x= 24*3= 72

 

Numbers are, 24,31,72.
