simplifying fractions over fractions

In Algebra 1 I am given the following problem:

Simplify x/9/x/4 + 4. (x/9 is a fraction over x/4 + 4, the first of which is also a fraction.)

Please help me.

x/9/x/4 + 4.

 

x/9 is divided by x/4 

so we multiply the x/9 with reciprocal of x/4

 

=x/9 *4/x  + 4 

 

=4/9 + 4

Denominator lcm is 9

 

=4/9+36/9

=40/9
