If you spend 30 minutes a day goofing off on the internet during time you've set aside for studying, how much study time (in minutes, and in hours) will you waste over the course of a 16 week semester? what if you waste 45 minutes a day

You know there are 7 days in a week and 16 weeks in a semester. Knowing this, you can convert 30 minutes a day into minutes a semester.

 

30 minutes / day * 7 days / week * 16 weeks / semester = 3360 minutes / semester, or 56 hours (a little more than 2 full days).

 

Your days and weeks terms cancel out, and you're left with only minutes / semester, which is just what you want.

 

Same goes with 45 minutes / day. Try it yourself. You should get 5040 minutes / semester.
