2)If you have a bag with an unknown number of quarters. Write an expression that can be used to find the amount of money in the bag. Use q for quarters.

 

3)You go to the store and buy three pairs of shoes for price, p, each and you also use a coupon for $50 off your total purchase. Write an expression that represents the amount you spent to purchase your new shoes

1) Dequan has x number of files on his computer. One day his computer crashed and he lost half of his files. Write an expression that represents how many files Dequan has on his computer now.  ½(x), i.e. x/2

2)If you have a bag with an unknown number of quarters. Write an expression that can be used to find the amount of money in the bag. Use q for quarters. the value of q quarters is $0.25q 

3)You go to the store and buy three pairs of shoes for price, p, each and you also use a coupon for $50 off your total purchase. Write an expression that represents the amount you spent to purchase your new shoes.  

You spend $ (3p-50) where p must be such that this amount is not negative...because you cannot get a cash refund from a coupon.
