evaluating unknown numbers

Evaluate:

 

cd [c² - d] if c=-1 and d=4

 

Please help me.

cd [c² - d]

 

cd=(-1)(4)=-4

[c² - d]= [-1² -4]=[1-4]=-3

 

cd [c² - d]= -4x-3=12, 12 is your final answer
