General form of equation of the parabola in intercept form is given below:
y = a(x - p)(x - q)
where p and q are x-intercepts. So, in our case p=12 and q=-6.
y=a(x-12)(x+6)
We need to find a using another point: (14,4) - by plugging it in our equation:
4 = a(14-12)(14+6).
so a=4/40=1/10=0.1.
Finally we get
Y=0.1(x-12)(x+6)
