Math and Please help

Tickets of a program at college cost ?$33 for general admission or ?$22 with a student ID. If 180180 people paid to see a performance and ?$434434 was? collected, how many of each type of ticket were? sold?

Are you sure you didn't double type your numbers?
Was it 180 people attended and $434 collected?

Student = Y
 
X+Y=180180
33(x)+22(y)=434434
 
not simply solve for one variable from one equation and plug it into another variable in the other equation
 
Y=180180-X
 
thus
 
33(X)+22(180180-X)=434434.
 
now solve for you X and that should give your number for general admission ticket. Then plug it back into the equation and solve for Y which will give you the student tickets
