Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
slope = -1/2, y intercept = 6
y=mx + b is the general form for the slope y intercept equation. For the given equation, m=-1/2 b = 6
But you did say slope intercept form. Generally that does mean slope y intercept form. It's possible you mgiht have meant, (although most unlikely) a slope x intercept from. IF so, then
y=(-1/2)x + 6
is equivalent to
y-6 = -x/2 Let y=0 and solve for x
-6 = -x/2
x= 12
x = -2y + 12 where -2 is the inverse of the normal slope, with 12 as the x intercept.
unlikely you intended this, but for completeness, it's a tiny possibility.
