Chess experts believe that the first 4 moves (in sequence) can take place 197,299 different ways (when totaled). It takes a half of a minute to make a single move. How long do you think it would take a player to try every possible set 4 moves?

we're looking at the first 4 moves: .5*4 = 2 minutes

There are 197,299 ways to make the first 4 moves:  2 * 197299 = 394598 minutes
