What you need to do is to draw said triangle and label its base & height; b=x, h = 2x-3. I trust that you understand this.
Then get the formula (Area = ½(base)(height) and substitute what you know for each of these parts (in words).
This will give you an equation, quadratic, I imagine, and you must solve it, for x, and so you will complete the problem and state the answers that are requested. Remember to check your answers. Hint: often, quadratic equations are solved by factoring, once all terms are on one side of the equation.
