350+-300+n=-150

find the value of n using a sentance in the same fact family

What is a "fact family?"  I never heard that term in my algebra.

It's a needless rewording by the Common Core idiots, who 'reform' where none is needed. I've seen in in some of the xeroxed homework that kids have brought home; it's usually coupled with very badly worded word problems cooked up by less-than-professionals who are profiting from the chaos created by Common Core. Of course, the real problem was not all the great math textbooks, but the decline of intellectual aspirations in American society.

That is appalling!  If that is what the kids are getting from their basic math classes, then the day is coming when no one will be able to do engineering, the physical sciences, or math when they get to college.  I dread that day.
