But I have to suspect there is an error in the problem statement, otherwise this problem is trivial.

Do you mean two separate problems, (1)  x-intercept is 2.8, y intercept is -3.2?    and   (2) x-intercept is 4.4, y-intercept is -2.6?

 

Am confused about x=2.8y --- is that y supposed to be there?  Your problem statement isn't well phrased ("equation has the following solutions")
