The sum of a number and its reciprocal is (3v2)/2.

2n + 2/n = 3√2             multiply both sides by 2

2n² + 2 = 3n√2            multiply both sides by n

2n² - 3n√2 + 2 = 0       subtract 3n√2 from both sides

2(n - 0.5n√2 + 1) = 0   factor out 2

2(1 - 1/√2)(1 - √2) = 0 FOIL
