Graph Linear Equations: Where do I shade?

The problem was:

2.) Using slope intercept form, graph x+2y=-6

I got y=(-1/2)x-3 as my answer, I've plotted the points but where do I shade? Do I even need to shade because it isn't an inequality?

Help is much appreciated! Thanks!!

You just draw the line and you are correct that the only time you shade is when it is an inequality.
