Clarify the question (precisely), please. IF IT SAYS THAT FLORIDA'S AREA IS 1/10 OF ALASKA'S AREA, then Florida's area would be 170,000, i.e. one tenth of the 1,700,000 sq. km.  (Note how commas make big numbers easier to read.)

 

As a means of checking, you can google 'area of Florida in square km.  (If you can only get sq. mi, would you know how to convert to sq. m?
