There will be EIGHT regions having distinct areas. The typical Venn diagram problem supplies information from which you can build outward, so to speak, starting with the region(A∩B)∩C. Example: 3 students take French, Calculus & Western Civilization courses (all three of these). Then you might be told that 10 take French & Calculus, 9 take French & Western Civ, 7 take Calculus & Western Civ. This will enable you to place the correct numbers in the three regions (outside the all-3-circles-intersection) representing the three different areas where two different circles overlap.
