You have two problems here. The first one I explained in a different posting.
Again,
width x length = Area of a rectangle
w (2w) = 163
2w2 = 162
dividing both sides by 2,
w2 = 81
taking the square root of both sides,
w = ±9
Reject the -9 solution since widths cannot be negative.
w = 9 meters and since the lengh is twice the width, l = 18 meters
