Once you have this information you can use the 18 mpg (miles per gallon) to find out how many gallons you will consume. This will look like 224/18 (ans = 12.44 gallons).
Since you need 12.44 gallons and gas costs $2.17/gal, you can write your equation as such: 12.44*$2.17. This will get your gas spend in a week (ans = $27.00)
