Table of Values

Question

Make a table of values for each of the following lines. Be sure to include negative values of x in each. Draw one set of axes plot both lines on the same graph. Be sure to fully label your graph including axes, scale and the equations of the lines.

 

1) y=2x-1

 

 

2)y=-3x+9

x   y=2x-1   y=-3x+9

0        -1          9              

3        5           0

 

The above gives two points on each line.  Two points determine a line and that's enough for each line.

 

In other words: "1)" contains points (0,-1) and (3,5).  Second line contains points (0,9 & 3,0).
