Graphing exponential equations

a) y= e^x

b) f(x)= e^-x

 

 

Im really confused by the e. What does it stand for?

e is a constant, just like pi (π). e is approximately 2.72, it is also called Euler's number.

There are interesting properties and uses for e, but for the problems you're working on just treat it like a regular number when graphing the equations.
