in a standard normal distribution find the area under the cure for z -scores less than -1.23 round to the 4 decimal places?

To answer this question, you need to have access to a cumulative z-score table (you can find one on-line or in your textbook).  Then, just look up -1.23 in the table (numbers to the left of the decimal are in the left column and numbers to the right are in the row across the top).  When you find it, the number there represents the area to the left of the z-score.
