radical form:

35/2 = √35 (we typically don't
use the 2 for a square root)
Now, re-writing the equation you get:
√35 - √48
To solve:
√35 = √3x3x3x3x3 = 9√3
√48 = √4x4x3 = 4√3
Now, they are ready to subtract:
9√3 - 4√3 = 5√3
