27 people in a class were surveyed about the sports they play often. 16 students play tennis or basket ball. 7 students play both tennis and basketball. 10 students play basketball. Interpret these information in a Venn diagram.

Sophia, you'll have 7 where your two circles overlap. If 10 students play basketball, that leaves 3 that play just basketball.

 

Since there are 16 that play either, 7 that play both and 3 that play only basketball, there are 16 -(7 + 3) = 6 that only play tennis.
