Which sentence contains proper usage of semicolons?

Let me know which bag to take; the blue one or the red one.
 
OR
 
The world is an amazing place; full of interesting people.

Neither of the semicolons that you show seem to be proper usage.  Commas would suffice.

Then would this sentence - "Last night, she was too frightened to go to bed; I will not let her watch a scary movie before bedtime anymore."
 
OR this sentence -
 
"The dog wants to come home with me; while Mom told me I could not have another pet."
 
use a semicolon correctly?

"Last night, she was too frightened to go to bed; I will not let her watch a scary movie before bedtime anymore." <---this reads very well.
 
The second sentence would be best improved by rewriting, e.g. The dog wants to come home with me, but Mom told me I could not have another pet.
