Find the quadratic equation whose roots are v4 and -v4.

If a is a root, then (x - a) is a factor.

 

y = (x - √4)(x + √4)

y = x² - (√4)²

y = x² - 4

 

Note: √4 = 2 and -√4 = -2.

The same quadratic is achieved.
