Suppose I want to buy a tablet computer. I can choose either a large or a small screen; a 64GB, or 256 GB storage capacity and a black or white cover. What are the possible outcomes of the sample space?

In this type of question, you just need to multiply the combinations of each outcome:

(₂C₁)*(₂C₁)*(₂C₁) = 2*2*2 = 8

 

Since this is only a small number of outcomes, you can actually check it manually:
