write the first 6 terms of this sequence?

The example in my textbook is not clear at all, so if you don't mind also explaining how to do this so I may do the other questions on my own, that will be great.

an = an - 1 + 6, a1 = 9

It seems doubtful, to me, that your textbook is unclear.  Do you understand the use of subscripts?
recursion (i.e. an is computed from its predecessor (an-1) by adding 6 to get to the next term?

Truly, you need to be able to read carefully & understand textbook explanations, especially when you're in Precalculus & possibly destined for Calculus soon thereafter.

It may be advisable for you to examine, objectively, your study habits.  Are phone & social media off? Do you have a study group of peers? Does your school offer free tutoring?
