Need help: x(x-1)^2+5(x-1)^2=0

I don't understand how this becomes (x+5)(x-1)^2. Please explain.

X(X-1)^2 + 5(X-1)^2 =0

 

(X-1)^2 is a common factor,

 

(X-1)^2 (X+5)=0

 

(X+5) =0 or (X-1)^2 =0

 

X=-5,   or X=1.
