8x + 6 - (x + 4)        parenthesis not needed
8x + 6 - x - 4            distribute negative
7x + 2                      combine like terms

This IS NOT HARD.  Better get used to it...Algebra will be with you for MANY YEARS.
 
BTW: The correct way to put your question would have been: Please show how to simplify this expression, because it seems hard to me.  Or better yet, just Please show how to simplify this expression.
 
Try to avoid run-on sentences.

A fundamental premise of this site is that the student requesting help and the tutoring offering help are sincere.
Should a student characterize something as "hard" then it must be hard for whatever cause/reason.
Belittling a request has a negative affect on not only the learning process but also on the self-image of the learner.
