The image is real. Diverging lenses produce smaller (compared to the object)upright virtual images . Converging lenses can produce virtual images, but they are larger than the object and are upright. The inverted image is therefore real and is produced by a converging lens. Furthermore, the object is located at a distance between the focal length and twice the focal length.
