how do i do (x+2)^2=x^2+4

(x+2)² =x²+4

 

Expand the term on the Left using (a+b)²=a²+2ab+b² , where a=x, b=2

x²+4x+4=x²+4

Now move all the terms on your right side to the left.( You can move the left terms to the right as well)

x² - x² +4x+4-4=0

4x=0

x=0/4

Therefore x=0
