how do you solve Y=5(2/1)^x

find the X and Y - intercepts of the graph of the function

Hi Nataliya;
I do not understand your answer.
If the x-intercept is 5, and the x-intercept is the value of x when y=0, why then is y=5?

You are correct that the x-intercept is the value of x when y = 0.  However, y is never 0.  That is why there is no x-intercept.
 
It is the y-intercept that is 5, the value of y when x = 0.
