Positive/negative angle

Question

Assume the following angle is in standard position. Fnd a positive and negative whose absolute value is less then 360 degrees and is coterminal with the given angle:-485 degrees

For a positive angle that is coterminal with 485 degrees:

 

485-360 degrees=125 degrees.

 

For a negative angle that is coterminal with 485 degrees. 

Remember that from a clockwise position, 125 degrees is 55 degrees away from the  negative x-axis.

 

Therefore

-180 degrees + -55 degrees or -235 degrees.
